VALORANT Champions: every season finale since 2021
Champions is VALORANT's season finale and the only title the scene treats as permanent. Four of its editions produced first-time winners, which tells you how quickly the top of this game turns over: no organisation has yet won it twice.
Below is the champion list with the five players who closed each final, followed by what each result meant for the region that produced it.
2021: Acend and the open circuit
The first Champions was won by a roster that did not exist eighteen months earlier. Acend beat Gambit in a five-map final, cNed's Operator play became the era's defining highlight, and the result confirmed that Europe had the deepest talent pool in the game's first year.
2022: LOUD and the Brazilian peak
LOUD's win in Istanbul is the most watched moment in VALORANT history to date and the reason Brazil became the game's largest audience. Four of those five — aspas, Less, Sacy, pANcada — were still headline players three seasons later, and Sacy and pANcada left immediately afterwards for Sentinels, which makes the 2022 five a specific, dateable line-up rather than an era.
2023: the partnership year
The first Champions of the partnered era went to Evil Geniuses, a roster seeded low, built from players other Americas teams had passed on, and coached into a bracket run nobody predicted. Demon1's tournament remains the benchmark for a debut season.
2024 onwards: China arrives
EDward Gaming's title in Seoul was China's first at a global VALORANT event, in only the region's second partnered season, and it broke the assumption that the Americas and EMEA would keep trading the trophy. Pacific hosted, Korea filled the arena, and the final was decided by a Chinese roster with no prior international pedigree.
Later seasons have kept that pattern of new names: the field that reaches the final weekend now includes at least one roster that was not a contender the year before.
