VALORANT player
Boaster: the longest-serving captain in VALORANT
Boaster has captained Fnatic since 2021, which in a game where the average roster lasts a season and a half makes him an outlier. He is the reason the organisation kept an identity through the partnership reset: players changed around him, the calling did not.
In a scene that rewards duelists with the headlines, he is the clearest case for the value of a leader.

What a VALORANT captain does
The in-game leader decides the composition, the map-side plan and the mid-round adjustments — and in VALORANT that job resets with every patch, because a new agent can invalidate an entire playbook. Boaster's teams have repeatedly been the fastest to adopt a new composition, which is a coaching-and-calling result rather than an aim one.
The trophies
Two Masters titles in 2023, plus Masters finals in 2021 and 2025 — a nine-figure span of the game's history for one player at one organisation. Any Fnatic line-up round is, in practice, a question about which four players were standing next to him.
