Team Vitality: building a decade around one player
Vitality entered Counter-Strike in 2018 with a French roster and one enormous bet: an eighteen-year-old sniper called ZywOo, promoted straight from the domestic scene. He became the best player in the world within a year, and the organisation has been built around him ever since.
Two Majors have come out of that, five years apart, with only apEX and ZywOo appearing on both.

From French project to international roster
The 2023 title was won by a hybrid: apEX and ZywOo plus Spinx from Israel and two Danes, dupreeh and Magisk, imported directly from the Astralis dynasty. It was the moment the French scene stopped insisting on all-French rosters.
By 2025 the transition was complete. flameZ, mezii and ropz replaced the Danish pair and Spinx, and the team won Austin with apEX still calling and ZywOo still carrying — the longest continuous star-and-leader partnership in modern Counter-Strike.
Why they are a common quiz answer
Vitality line-ups are dateable from a single name. dupreeh and Magisk place you in 2022–2023; ropz and mezii place you in 2024 onwards; kennyS or RpK place you in the earliest era. The constants, apEX and ZywOo, tell you the organisation but never the year.
